The Sirothian Doctrine

Less a creed than a playbook, Siroth's Strategic Doctrine is the long-range logic by which one man has ruled two worlds for a generation — and held them unchallenged in the thirteen years since he crushed the one hope that nearly undid him. Its first principle is the one his rivals were too proud to accept: that whoever controls memory controls everything. From it follow all the rest — that the past is a document still open for editing, that a prophecy is most safely answered before it is spoken, that the surest victory is the one the loser never knows was won. It is patient, cold, and very nearly complete. Its single flaw is the one thing it could not edit away: a child who lived.
