Twisting, tower-like brambles that grow into natural barricades, Thornspire Brambles can wall off a clearing or seal a ruined gate without anyone planting them to do it. Their thorns drip with a sap that hardens into clear crystal when exposed to air — hunters use the crystals for arrowheads, and sorcerers grind them into ritual powders. The brambles are stubborn, defensive, and slow to die; a stand cut back will arm itself again within a season, as though the land were determined to keep something out, or in. Their cured ironbark is one of the finest natural wards in Magicia, which is only the Thornspire doing, on purpose, what it has always done.

Cut it back, and within a season it has armed itself again.
