Slender, silver-green creepers that coil up walls and pillars, Whispering Vines emit faint sighs when brushed — as though exhaling old secrets held in their leaves. They are often used in rituals, for they are believed to carry echoes of memory from one place to another, a living thread by which something said in one room may, faintly, be heard in another. Grown over an old house, they become its quiet biographers; grown over a tomb, they keep saying the name. They ask nothing and forget nothing, and the patient have learned to simply sit among them and listen.
